Our Induction training course is designed to meet the Care Certificate/Common Induction Standards. Induction training is adapted to suit the needs of our organisation and our care colleagues availability to cover a host of current topics and vital areas of care. This is to ensure we provide our customers with the knowledge and satisfaction that our care colleagues are fully prepared to deliver their care professionally and safely. It also gives care colleagues the knowledge, skillset and confidence to deliver high quality care against the our core values.

Learning and Development

We have a team of Care Experience Partners managed by our Head of Care Experience, who shadow the Global Edge Care Colleagues whilst they are out in the community ensuring they are working in line with our organization’s philosophies, policies and procedures. These philosophies have been developed by the Directors and set by our Head of Learning and Development to ensure every one of our care colleagues has the opportunity to reach their full potential whilst following our organizational core values and behaviors.
We can further enhance every care colleagues career development at the Global Edge Care by offering them the opportunity of additional educational courses to take them beyond the Level 2 Diploma in Health and Social care. With the current availability of government funding these courses are usually available at significant subsidized rates, which means, they are free to all Global Edge Care colleagues, providing the course is completed within the given timescales.

Various Colleges provide a range of programmes which come under the general heading of Distant Learning. Distant Learning is an accessible way to acquire qualifications through a blended learning approach whilst you are working with us.

Apprenticeships

Health and Social Care Apprenticeships provide learners with the knowledge and skills needed to work in a variety of health and social care settings. From helping people with a particular need to providing vital assistance to healthcare professionals in the care of patients.

What is an Apprenticeship?

An Apprenticeship is a work-based training programme designed around the needs of employers, which leads to nationally recognised qualifications for the apprentice. This training is flexible and is predominantly ‘on-the-job’ and in the workplace. There are lots of benefits to doing an Apprenticeship and we are happy to talk you through them.
